Through the Eyes of Love God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. —1 John 4:16
Everybody, just look at Nicole!” Mr. Hansen, our high school choir teacher, gazed up with admiration at the backdrop on the stage where Nicole and five other students were painting scenery. “Look at how steady her hand is.” “There goes Mr. Hansen again,” Jennifer whispered. She rolled her eyes, but we all knew she was speaking affectionately. Not only was Mr. Hansen an excellent teacher, but he showed his love for children by discovering their hidden qualities or abilities and encouraging them. During my four years in high school music, Mr. Hansen saw through my timid, awkward exterior and recognized my vocal talent. He encouraged me to continue studying at a conservatory of music. For forty years, God poured out His love for children through Mr. Hansen. His loving example inspired me to become a music teacher so that I could do the same for the next generation of shy, awkward teens.
