It Takes Togetherness Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. —Ecclesiastes 4:9
A rainbow of balloons floated out of the bag I was holding. “Can you choose a balloon,” I asked my preschool class, “and find something in the room with the same color?” As the children scurried off, Sherrie, the afternoon teacher, popped in. “Morning, Doris—just checking to see if everything’s going okay.” I appreciated Sherrie’s morning welcomes and decided to return the favor. As I peeked into her room that afternoon, children were running around with a balloon in one hand and brightly colored objects in the other. I couldn’t believe Sherrie was using my hard-worked plans and had been for some time. “I’m sorry,” she apologized. “I’ve been so busy and always considered us a team that helps each other.” For her part, Sherrie did start putting more effort into her lessons. And me? I realized Who gave me everything to begin with and am learning to be more generous in sharing my time and talents with others. After all, we’re all a part of God’s team!
