For Us All the Way If God is for us, who can ever be against us? —Romans 8:31
My boss definitely didn’t like me. I’d let him know I was a Christian. And now he took advantage of me at work in any way he could. Like the day he told me, “You’ll do this dirty job because you’re a Christian, right? God says so.” He soon had some other distasteful jobs just for me. I kept on doing the jobs and praying, “God, I know you’re with me. So just help me to do these things with a smile.” After weeks of this, my boss called me into his office one day. Then he asked, “Why are you putting up with this stuff from me?” I sat there amazed. An answer came to me. “I know you probably will think this weird, but it’s because I love God, and loving Him makes me love you, even if you don’t like me much.” He just shook his head. “Get out of here. Oh, and I’m giving you a raise.” Our relationship improved and I felt for the first time love had won the day.
Love even the unlovely. God sees and will reward you. — Mark Littleton —
