God’s Always Right For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. —Matthew 7:8
God didn’t answer the prayer.” I was bothered by that statement. The person seemed to be totally ignoring the fact that God sometimes says no. God always hears and answers prayers. Sometimes He may not directly say no, but I believe He brings unexpected alternatives. He knows what’s needed more than we do. Years ago this was proven to me when I was invited to pray for a friend’s dying husband. My ministry focused on memory healing. Memory healing is a procedure where, through prayer and probing questions and the Holy Spirit’s direction, we help people go back to painful moments in their lives and seek the Lord’s healing of those traumas. As my prayer partner and I ministered beside the hospital bed, God quickly brought meaningful healing to the man behind the oxygen mask, and I expected his health to improve, as it often does after a healing. The next day, when his wife called to report he had died in peace, I was puzzled. But his wife knew that memory healing prayer was what her beloved needed to die peacefully. God brought him what was best.
If God tells us to come to Him with our requests, we can trust Him to bring the needed answer. — Sally Edwards Danley —
