Follow His Leading Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. —Galatians 5:25
My wife and I wanted to work toward buying a house. But a huge debt to the hospital from having our first daughter dragged us down. We hadn’t had any health insurance, and the bills mounted into the thousands. It looked like years before we could ever begin to amass the money for a down payment. I kept praying about it, and it seemed God said, “Just follow my leading.” I did, and one day my dad came to me and said, “Joe, if you want to start looking for a house, your mom and I are in position to help you get one.” Amazed, I gave him a list of all the problems we had. He said, “Don’t worry about money, just worry about finding something nice but not too expensive.” We did, and six months later we moved into a nice duplex my wife called the “Taj Mahal.” God led us every step of the way. I’m amazed that when a path or goal looks impossible, God can step in and make it happen. I’ve seen it happen many times in my life. God is never daunted. His plan will come to pass.
