God Cares Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! —Matthew 6:8
It was winter not only outside, but inside as well. Our lives felt cold and wanting. Christmas would soon be upon us and we were broke. My husband had been in the hospital and we were in a hard place. We’d had four children within six years. Our second child, a daughter, was about eight. All she wanted for Christmas was a pink sweater. I looked everywhere. None of the stores I frequented were carrying pink that year. My daughter was praying for a pink sweater, and I was too. I know it’s not a big thing, but I wanted my daughter to know that God cares about the smallest detail of our lives. Several weeks went by, then one day someone came to the door with a bag of secondhand clothes. I carefully went through the bag and got near the bottom with a sinking heart. When I pulled out the last item, it was a soft pink sweater in just the right size.
God cares about every detail of our lives.
